Unlike many other retinal imaging devices, Optos California allows us to take an image of the entire retina, all the way to the outer edges. By using ultrawide retinal imaging, we can detect even the earliest signs of disease that appear on your retina, such as diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and serious vision threatening conditions that require immediate referral to ophthalmology such as retinal tears and detachment.
Similar to an ultrasound, OCT is an advanced eye scan that takes a digital picture and 3D image of the back of your eye. These images allow us to detect and manage wide a range of different conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, diabetic macular edema. OCT can detect even the most subtle changes to your eye, allowing us to create an accurate ongoing record of the health and condition of your eyes.
TearLab is uniquely designed to provide rapid in office measurement of osmolarity of tears. This objective measure helps correlate subjective symptoms of dry eye, aiding in its management.
Visual Field allows us to accurately measure how much vision you have in either eye and how much vision loss may have occurred over time. This helps managing patients who might have glaucoma, macular degeneration, ptosis, history of stroke and many ocular conditions. Visual Field can also be used to assess patient’s visual function for their driver's license exams.
